Shiva 2 
As third of the trimurti Shiva is the god of destruction, transformation and dissolution; his function as destroyer of ignorance however shows his blessfull nature.
His symbol is the linga, oft shown together with the yoni, the symbol of his consort Shakti.
Shiva is married to Parvati and has fathered Ganesha. They live in Mount Kailash.
He is worshipped as Guru of all gurus.
Other names for Shiva are: Bholonath, Gangadhara, Hara, Kala, Mahadeva, Manohara, Sadguru, Shambho, Shankara and Tryambakam.
Als derde van de de trimurti is Shiva de god van de vernietiging, transformatie en beëindiging; als vernietiger van de onwetendheid toont hij echter zijn zegenrijke natuur.
Zijn symbool is de linga, die vaak samen met de yoni, het symbool van zijn gezellin Shakti, vertoond wordt.
Shiva is gehuwd met Parvati en is vader van Ganesha. Ze wonen in Mount Kailash.
Hij wordt vereerd als Guru der guru's.
