Vasudeva(ya) 
The good god (vasu means good and deva deity).
Name of the father of Krishna, also (with long first a) son of Vasudeva, i.e. Krishna.
Vasudeva wedded 7 sisters, the youngest, Devaki, was Krishna's mother.
He was also called Anakadundubhi (big drum), because the gods, knowing he was to be Krishna's father, sounded the heavenly drums upon his birth.

De goede god (vasu betekent goed en deva godheid).
Vader van Krishna, ook (met lange eerste a) zoon van Vasudeva, i.e. Krishna.
Vasudeva huwde 7 zusters, de jongste daarvan, Devaki, was Krishna's moeder.
Hij werd ook Anakadundubhi (grote trommel) genoemd, omdat de goden, die wisten dat hij de vader van Krishna zou worden, bij zijn geboorte de hemelse trommels lieten klinken.
