shoshanam paapa pankasya
deepanam jñaana tejasaam
guru paado dakam samyak
samsaaraa ar nava taarakam

The water of the Guru's feet (has the power) to dry up
the mire of one’s sins, to ignite the light of knowledge,
and to take one smoothly across the ocean of this world. 

ajñaana mula haranam
janma karma nivaaranam
jñaana vairaagya siddy artham
guru paado dakam pibet

To obtain knowledge and detachment, sip the water
of the Guru's feet, which destroys ignorance and
ends karmas, (the cause of) rebirth. 

guroh paado dakam pitvaa
guro rucchishta bhojanam
guru murte sadaa dhyaanam
guru mantram sadaa japet

Take a sip of the water of the Guru's feet, and eat the
food that has been left by the Guru. Constantly meditate
on the Guru's form, and always repeat the Guru's mantra.
